WE WELCOME YOU TO COME STAY WITH US IN OUR MUD HOME AND EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF CREATING COLOURS WITH THE EARTH.
OVER THE COURSE OF THREE JOYFUL DAYS, YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN NATURAL WATERCOLOURS AND INKS USING SOIL, STONES, AND PLANTS FORAGED FROM THE LAND.
Schedule

Day 1: Foraging the Earth
Wander through the land, collect soil and stones, and learn how to transform them into beautiful earth pigments — colours gifted by the ground beneath your feet.

Day 2: Colours from Plants
Discover the hidden hues in leaves, flowers, and roots as you create natural inks and plant-based pigments through mindful extraction and alchemy.

Day 3: Painting with Nature
Bring your colours to life by making your own handmade watercolor paints, and express your connection with the earth through soulful creations.

​Your Stay

You’ll be staying with me, your host, in a simple mud home nestled among the hills, bird songs, and trees.
-
Only 2 participants can be accommodated at a time. You’ll share a cozy attic with one other participant in a queen-size bed. You have to climb the attic via ladder only.

There is only one bathroom with toilet in the downstairs and has to be shared by 3 of us(one host + 2 participants)

You're also welcome to pitch your own tent on the farm and use the indoor bathroom.

Please also note: this is a space close to nature, surrounded by forest and wildlife. While we’ve never had any harmful encounters, you might spot reptiles or wild animals in the surroundings. We ask that you come with an open heart, a sense of respect for all beings, and a readiness to experience life in its raw, natural form.

Joy, our furry family member, roams freely around the house.

He’s incredibly affectionate and loves human company.

We keep the home clean, but please be okay with finding his fur around.

Food & Facilities
-
We have one kitchen within the house, where I cook with our helper in the mornings (7–9 AM) and evenings (5–6 PM). You may not be able to sleep in attic during those hours as it might be noisy.

All meals, tea, and snacks will be provided — simple, wholesome, vegetarian (dairy-free) food prepared with love.

Please inform us of dietary needs in advance — we’ll do our best to accommodate them.​

How to Reach?
Our farm is located in a remote village on a hill in Tamil Nadu, surrounded by reserve forest. The weather is similar to Bangalore — cool and pleasant.

By Car: 38 km from Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu. Parking available.

By Bus: Direct government buses from Sathyamangalam at specific times. We'll share timings after you register.

By Train: Nearest stations – Erode and Tiruppur (~100 km).

By Air: Nearest airport – Coimbatore (~100 km). Taxi/rental options available. We can help you coordinate shared travel with other participants.

Segregate Waste: Separate wet and dry waste and use the respective bins provided.

No Gadget Use During Workshop Hours: Stay fully present and immersed in the process.

Be kind, gentle, and considerate to fellow participants, facilitators, animals, and the environment.

Honor the daily schedule so we can make the most of our time together.

No Smoking or Alcohol Consumption

Handle the Mud Home With Care:

Avoid using sharp objects near the mud walls — they can chip or damage the surface.

Do not drag or forcefully move furniture — it can harm the structure of the mud home.

Treat the home with love and mindfulness. It’s made with natural materials and holds the energy of care.

Other Activities
When you're not foraging, mixing, or painting, you can:
- Bath in the nearby water stream
- Read a book
- Play with Joy – He will be your cheerful companion, always ready for cuddles and fun.
- Walk around the farm and explore the landscape
- Listen to bird songs and spot a variety of birds that visit our farm and the nearby forest.
